It is always my goal to meet each individual artist where they are in their journey to help them pave a path that is unique to them and their artistic growth.

I am a process-oriented college theatre director who believes the quality of the rehearsal journey directly affects the quality of the production. My philosophy on education is similar. I am passionate about working with young actors and helping them find their truth by making the rehearsal room and classroom a place to cultivate personal growth alongside artistic growth. I am committed to developing ways of bettering the learning experience for emerging artists through coaching and mentorship, drawing from my global educational experiences to instill in my students the necessary skills to be confident and successful artists.

Over the course of my own educational journey, I had the invaluable opportunity to attend four different institutions, each with unique theatre programs. I have studied and trained at Point Park University (Pittsburgh, PA), Gannon University (Erie, PA), Mary Immaculate College (Limerick, Ireland), and the University of Portland (Portland, OR); I have directed at the latter three. My experiences have opened my eyes to all the possibilities and challenges theatre programs face, as well as inspired my commitment to training young people to be well-rounded, self-aware, and socially-aware artists.

I believe a theatre artist’s educational experience should equip them with a toolbox of different approaches to performance and production, so that they can discover which ideologies work best for themselves. My approach to both practical and theoretical course is hands-on, creative, and personal. By creating classroom experiences that allow students to take risks and speak their minds in a safe space, I encourage them to get comfortable trying new things, reflecting, and trying again in order to learn and develop a personal approach to and point of view on their desired field in theatre. It is always my goal to meet each individual artist where they are in their journey to help them pave a path that is unique to them and their artistic growth.
